Jeff - I forgot which picture I had posted on my profile. This is a Martin 00-15. I guess it is the D-15's little brother. Since I started with the Mandolin, I didn't feel comfortable with the big Dreads. When I bought the 00, it felt more comfortable. I previously replied that the guitar was my Morgan Monroe MV45, also a nice guitar, but full sized and not a Martin. However, my go to guitar is a Little Martin for everyday playing.

Please change the calendar notice for April 1st & 8th to say that we will meet at Woodland Baptist. The 8th is also the business meeting. Hopefully the weather will allow us to go to The Old Country Store on April 15th.

This website is great. I visit the hangout sites and acoustic guitar, and this site is my new favorite. Easy to navigate with lots of info. It will only get better with time as people post videos and the forums beocme active. Thanks for your work on this.

Thanks, Harry for the update. I'll put it on the Calendar. I've already posted a link to the MABA Website, but I'll post this on the Calendar so it will appear on our homepage in the Upcoming Events Section.

Hey, thanks for joining the site and feel free to add any events, pictures, video, forum topics, anything you like. That's what makes it interactive.

Breakin' Up Winter is all old-time...all the time. You saw the pics of fiddlers--Matt Kinman being one. And the fellow with the fiddle at the Ranger's Residence in the park. My cousin Lisa is married to the Chief Ranger, Buddy Ingram. They live at the park while he's on duty. His old-time group is The Gallinippers (defined as 'a Texas-size mosquito'). Buddy won the old-time banjo division at Uncle Dave Macon Days a couple of years back. He's a dandy. Take your fiddle (or guitar/mando/banjo) and drop by the park to pick with Buddy. Swap old-time tunes with him. He loves that!

Martin Fisher does a great job with the wax-cylinder recordings, and a number of folks use his services to record while they are at BUW. Didn't know he was an ol' West Tennessee boy!

The festival is always the first weekend of March. Try to go at least once. See link to NOTSBA: www.nashvilleoldtime.org/BUW

You can join, register for BUW XVI in 2011 or look at pictures and such.

Sugar in the Gourd is old-time music all the time right here on your computer. Do you know about that? www.sugarinthegourd.com
